Osugi Shrine
The "Osugidani Valley" is named after this shrine. The big cedar tree stands in the precinct and is worshipped as the sacred body of the deity. The "Kukunochi God" that is said to be the god of trees has long been worshipped. This cedar tree 9.2 metres in diameter is about 1,200 years old and reaches a height of 40 metres. The current one is the second sacred tree and the first stump lies right next to it.
