Standing on top of the hill in Kuzu area, a tall beech tree in the Daienji temple has been protected under Wildlife Protection Act in Mie Prefecture and worshipped by local residents. The tree 6.3 metres in diameter is over 300 years old and reaches a height of 20 metres.
