Kawazoe Shrine
Sit on the Ise-ji route of the ancient Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail, the shrine holds a bizzare festival called the "Gomikake Festival" every February, that began in the Edo Period. The people parade their town praying for huge harvest with emphatic shouts "Madalark Manzai (Mandala Deities, Hooray).
